What do we know about the Riders Republic movie?
Per Deadline, the new Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, known collectively as Adil & Bilall, movie is being developed by Gaumont and Ubisoft Film & Television. The project, which is being launched at Cannes, is written by Noé Debré.
Plot details for the Riders Republic movie remain under wraps at this time. No casting has yet been announced. Sidonie Dumas and Rémi Cervoni will produce for Gaumont, while Jordan Cohen will produce for Ubisoft.
Adil & Bilall are best known for directing the third and fourth installments in the Bad Boys franchise, 2020’s Bad Boys for Life and 2024’s Bad Boys: Ride or Die. They were also the directors of Batgirl, the DCEU film starring Leslie Grace and Brendan Fraser that Warner Bros. Discovery opted not to release in favor of a tax break despite the fact that the project was in post-production.
ComingSoon Editor-in-Chief Tyler Treese gave Riders Republic a 6/10 grade when the video game was released in 2021. Treese wrote in his review, “It opts for a relatively safe journey that never fully goes for it and tries to hit the high marks of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater or SSX Tricky yet never fully bails either, which Ubisoft has conditioned players to expect. Riders Republic has plenty of content for players that want to spend countless hours in just one game, but it’s just not much more than a cold experience that’s blatantly designed to be a time-suck.”
A release date for the Riders Republic movie has not yet been announced.
