What happens in the Deep Cover trailer?
The Deep Cover trailer sees Bryce Dallas Howard play an improv comedy teacher named Kat. She’s recruited to go undercover by a cop, played by Sean Bean (Game of Thrones), and is entrusted with a dangerous mission, which she then enlists two of her students, played by Bloom and Mohammed, to help her with.
“Deep Cover is a fast-paced action comedy starring Bryce Dallas Howard as Kat, an improv comedy teacher beginning to question if she’s missed her shot at success,” the official synopsis reads. “When an undercover cop (Sean Bean) offers her the role of a lifetime, she recruits two of her students (Orlando Bloom and Nick Mohammed) to infiltrate London’s gangland by impersonating dangerous criminals.”
The cast of Deep Cover also includes Paddy Considine (House of the Dragon), Sonoya Mizuno (Ex Machina), and Ian McShane (John Wick). The screenplay was written by Derek Connolly, Colin Trevorrow, Ben Ashenden, and Alexander Owen. Trevorrow, Walter F. Parkes, and Laurie MacDonald serve as producers.
“We’re delighted to be bringing this new action-comedy to our customers,” Prime Video’s Tushar Jindal said, via Variety, when the project was announced in 2024. “With an incredible cast, a top-class creative team and a fantastic script, we know it’s going to be a hit.”
Kingsley previously directed 2011’s Black Pond and 2016’s The Darkest Universe alongside Will Sharpe. He’s worked on television shows such as Ghosts, Doctor Who, and more.
Deep Cover will be released on Amazon Prime Video on June 12, 2025.
