Brandon Sklenar on How Drop Expertly Misleads the Audience | Exclusive Clip

ComingSoon is debuting an exclusive Drop clip from the film’s bonus features, which can be seen when purchasing the horror film from participating retailers.

What happens in the Drop clip?

The clip sees director Christopher Landon exploring the themes of the film. Namely, the fears of being watched by an unseen force, and the paranoia that can develop from it. Landon and star Brandon Sklenar also discuss how the movie makes sure to keep audiences second-guessing who might be watching Meghann Fahy’s Violet.

Drop is now available to rent or own on digital platforms from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. It will be released on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD on June 10, 2025. Since making its debut, the film has maintained a Certified Fresh rating of 84% on Rotten Tomatoes based on 203 reviews.

Drop was directed by Happy Death Day filmmaker Christopher Landon from a screenplay written by Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach. The cast also included Brandon Sklenar, Violett Beane, Jacob Robinson, Reed Diamond, Gabrielle Ryan, Jeffery Self, Ed Weeks, and Travis Nelson. It was produced by Michael Bay, Jason Blum, Brad Fuller, and Cameron Fuller, with Sam Lerner serving as an executive producer.

“The film follows Violet, a widowed mother on her first date in years, who arrives at an upscale restaurant where she is relieved that her date, Henry is more charming and handsome than she expected. But their chemistry begins to curdle as Violet begins being irritated and then terrorized by a series of anonymous drops to her phone,” reads the official synopsis. “She is instructed to tell nobody and follow instructions or the hooded figure she sees on her home security cameras will kill Violet’s young son and babysitting sister. Violet must do exactly as directed or everyone she loves will die. Her unseen tormentor’s final directive? Kill Henry.”
