Ben Affleck Decides Who Would Win in Punisher vs. Daredevil Fight

Ben Affleck recently shared his thoughts on who would win a Daredevil vs Punisher fight between him and Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle. Affleck played the title role in the 2003 movie Daredevil. The film was a relative success at the time, grossing over $179 million at the box office according to Box Office Mojo. However, despite spawning a spin-off starring Jennifer Garner’s Elektra, the superhero film generated lacklustre reviews and Affleck did not return for a sequel.

Ben Affleck says he wouldn’t want his Daredevil to tangle with Bernthal’s Punisher

Ben Affleck recently commented on the question of whether his version of Daredevil would emerge victorious against Jon Bernthal’s Punisher.

Affleck and Bernthal sat down for a chat with Jake’s Takes to promote their movie, The Accountant 2, when the former was asked if he would win in a Daredevil vs Punisher fight against Bernthal. The Batman v Superman actor said, “Well, his Punisher is good. I wouldn’t tangle with his Punisher.”

Affleck also admitted that he hasn’t watched the Netflix Daredevil series and the ongoing Daredevil: Born Again. However, he referred to Charlie Cox, who portrays the character now, and said, “There’s a new Daredevil, I haven’t seen it yet, but I certainly love the character, I wish him the best.”

Additionally, Affleck stated that his version of Daredevil happened before Kevin Feige joined as the head of Marvel. He praised Feige and conveyed, “He (Kevin Feige) imposed a kind of clarity of tone across those movies that sort of figured out the trickiest thing, which is ‘How do you balance a movie where you got people wearing pajamas and have superpowers, and how seriously you take it, and how much humor is in it, and how much you wink at the audience, and what does the action have to look like.’ It coincided with visual effects getting to a place where it could look really convincing.”
