‘I F—ing Love It’: Clayface Popcorn Bucket Sparks Fan Memories of Iconic Halloween Jump Scare

Fans are excited to see the new Clayface popcorn bucket collectible, which gives off classic Halloween candy bowl vibes. The upcoming DC horror movie will arrive in theaters ahead of the spooky season.

The new collectible, shared by @homeofdcu on X, features a clay-colored hand rising from the popcorn, designed to look like it is clawing its way out. One fan, @TonyMata261772, expressed his excitement by writing, “I f—ing love it.” He also mentioned that it reminds him of “what parents put out for trick or treaters.”

Another fan, @8rq44zt2kk, also noted the resemblance and wrote, “Remind me of those Halloween candy buckets with the hand that moves.”

@PmillieMovies wrote, “And I’ll be spending my money on this,” expressing interest in the collectible and the movie. @TjThurman45 echoed this sentiment and wrote, “I’d actually spend sum money for this it looks good.” @AllThingzComic posted, “I need it more than I need air fr.”

@NotTheD_roid praised the promotional material by writing, “Clayface merch already winning.”

Why the Clayface popcorn bucket is reminding fans of a Halloween classic

The similarity stems from the hand emerging from the bucket. Similar Halloween candy bowls have used motion-activated hands to surprise trick-or-treaters as they reach out for candy. Some versions also included sounds and other effects to make it scarier.

That close resemblance gives the Clayface popcorn collectible a different feel from standard movie merchandise. Instead of using a character’s face, the design uses a physical design that reminds fans of Halloween-themed items ahead of the movie’s theatrical debut.

Billed as DC Studios’ first true horror entry, Clayface follows an in-movie actor named Matt Hagen, whose face transforms after a disfiguring accident. He becomes a test subject in an attempt to recover his original face, but the treatment causes horrifying side effects that turn his body into living clay.

Distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, the R-rated film will open in theaters on October 23, 2026.
