Avengers Endgame: Encore includes a request that plays before the movie featuring the Doomsday cast.
The Encore version of the hit movie arrived in theaters worldwide on September 25, bringing back the iconic 2019 event to the big screen for fans to relive. The re-release includes additional scenes that will tie it to the upcoming Doomsday movie. However, one moment at the start has particularly grabbed fans’ attention.
A scene shows Doomsday’s special look, then cuts to a theater filled with the movie’s cast. The clip circulating on X features Letitia Wright, Florence Pugh, Simu Liu, James Marsden, Sebastian Stan, David Harbor, along with the Fantastic Four and more. Pugh and the other actors immediately start booing as a phone starts ringing in the theater. Pugh appears to signal to Liu and says, “No, no, no,” after which a text appears on screen that reads, “Please silence your phones.”
Another clip promoting the film’s release features Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans addressing fans and sharing what happens next after Avengers Endgame: Encore. They also share their experiences with making Endgame.
Before Encore’s release, Anthony Russo also shared his thoughts on Endgame and said he was grateful for the love it received. Talking about its connection to Doomsday, Russo said, “Audiences are coming to Avengers: Doomsday with a lot of emotional connection to prior experiences within the MCU. And we have those same emotional connections. So, we want to honor that and figure out how we are using that value and that emotional investment to go somewhere new” (via Marvel.com).
