Why House at the End of the Street is worth adding to your watchlist

The thriller earned $44.1 million worldwide during its theatrical run, including $31.6 million domestically. The Numbers also reports a $6.9 million production budget.
Its critical reception was much less favorable. House at the End of the Street currently has a 10% Tomatometer score and a 41% Popcornmeter audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Directed by Mark Tonderai, the movie centers on Elissa Cassidy, played by Lawrence. She moves to a new town with her mother, Sarah, played by Shue. Their new home sits near a property linked to a double murder. Elissa soon becomes interested in Ryan, the surviving son connected to the case.
That relationship pulls her closer to unanswered questions surrounding the incident. The story combines horror elements with a psychological mystery and several twists. The film runs for 101 minutes and carries a PG-13 rating. David Loucka wrote the screenplay, while Jonathan Mostow received the story credit.
For viewers who can access it, the movie offers a compact thriller built around secrets, suspicion, and a dangerous past.
