Superman Star Teases Multiple More DCU Appearances as Man of Tomorrow Looms

A Superman star just addressed his DCU future. He revealed whether fans can expect his character to return in future projects. However, the actor didn’t say when exactly audiences will meet the character next.

Sean Gunn has played a slew of characters in the DCU. The actor has provided motion capture for The Weasel, voiced G.I. Robot, and played Maxwell Lord in Superman and Peacemaker Season 2. Gunn said fans can expect to see Maxwell Lord again in the DCU, but he couldn’t say when.

Maxwell Lord has been a huge part of the DCU. Bankrolling the Justice Gang, his motivations have remained suspect. The character will likely support the Justice Gang in aiding Superman and Lex Luthor against Brainiac in Man of Tomorrow. But it remains unknown if he will appear in person. Gunn also provides motion capture for Rocket Raccoon in Guardians of the Galaxy, but didn’t reveal when the character will appear next.

Gunn has also revealed that Maxwell Lord is a character he has been working extensively on. He even called him his favorite character to work with. The American actor said, “We will be seeing Maxwell Lord again, more than once. But I am not allowed to say where or when.” He later stated, “That character has been a part of what I have been working on, and I love playing that character.”

This might indicate that the character could have an extended appearance in a future project, possibly even more than Gunn’s characters from Creature Commandos. The actor confirmed that Weasel and G.I. Robot will also return for the animated series’ second season. Maxwell Lord has also appeared in the DCEU, played by Pedro Pascal in Wonder Woman 1984.
