Adam Driver, Scarlett Johansson, and Miles Teller are all aiming for the Oscars in the new Paper Tiger trailer. The trailer for the crime thriller is set to drop on September 22, 2026.

The movie premiered at the Cannes Film Festival back in May. It immediately received significant praise and has been strongly promoted as a major contender for the Academy Awards. According to a recent update from The Hollywood Reporter, it will also receive a special push by its distributor Neon.

Previously, despite the Oscars buzz, fans were confused about which categories the three Hollywood A-listers would compete for. The latest update suggests that Driver will be pushed for Best Supporting Actor, Johansson for Best Supporting Actress, and Teller for Best Actor. Paper Tiger is scheduled to open the New York Film Festival this Friday.

The synopsis of Paper Tiger, per IMDb, reads, “Two brothers pursue the American Dream but get entangled in a dangerous Russian mafia scheme that terrorizes their family, testing their bond as betrayal becomes possible.”

Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson are portraying Gary Pearl and Linda Pearl, respectively. The cast also features Miles Teller as Irwin Pearl, Gavin Goudey as Scott Pearl, and Roman Engel as Benjamin Pearl. Cindy Katz, Yves Garvy, Victor Ptak, Dimiter D. Marinov, Raphael Corkhill, Roman Blat, Patrick Murney, and others are also starring in the crime drama.

Paper Tiger is written and directed by James Gray. He is also producing the 115-minute movie with Andrea Bucko, Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio, Gary Farkas, Anthony Katagas, Andrea Leone, Raffaella Leone, Marco Perego, Carlo Salem, and Rodrigo Teixeira.

Paper Tiger is scheduled to hit selected theaters on November 13, 2026, before a nationwide release.
