DC Finds Its New Robins as Dick Grayson & Jason Todd Are Cast in Upcoming Movie
DC has found its Robins with a major update on the casting for Dick Grayson and Jason Todd in an upcoming movie. The animated feature is being developed by DC Studios, although James Gunn has already confirmed it will be part of DC Elseworlds.
According to insider Jeff Sneider, the leading voice cast of animated movie Dynamic Duo has been reportedly confirmed.
The scooper claims that Mason Thames (The Black Phone) will voice Dick Grayson while Logan Kim (Ghostbusters: Afterlife) will voice Jason Todd.

How Dynamic Duo reimagines the origins of Dick Grayson and Jason Todd
Dynamic Duo will present the origin story of Dick Grayson and Jason Todd as best friends. However, they will eventually be pulled in different directions by opposing influences in Gotham City.
Dick will follow Batman and become his partner. But Todd will follow the villainous Red Hood gang. They eventually find themselves on opposing sides because of their conflicting ideologies. According to a previous report, Todd is expected to assume the identity of Red Hood as well in the movie.
Batman is also reportedly expected to appear in Dynamic Duo, although DC has yet to confirm his involvement. The caped crusader’s appearance will reportedly be inspired by Absolute Batman comics.
An actor to play Batman has yet to be confirmed for the anticipated project. Early speculations have suggested several names, including The Westies star Tom Brittney. But nothing has been officially announced at the moment.
Dynamic Duo is written by Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber. It comes as part of a collaboration between Warner Bros. Pictures Animation, Matt Reeves’ 6th and Idaho, DC Studios, and Swaybox Studios.
Originally announced in 2024, the film will use Swaybox’s ‘TiNK’ facial animation system. It combines CGI animation, live-action real-time performance, and stop-motion.
Directed by Arthur Mintz, Dynamic Duo will hit theaters on June 30, 2028.
