A24’s Slayground Trailer Promises a Blood-Soaked Fight for Survival

A24 has unveiled the official promo trailer for Slayground, the studio’s upcoming horror film. The preview offers a glimpse into some of the most blood-curdling scenes from the movie.

Slayground is an upcoming horror action thriller directed by Jeremy Saulnier. He is the filmmaker behind Blue Ruin, Green Room, Rebel Ridge, and other notable movies and television shows. Moviegoers previously got the first look at Slayground’s teaser during certain screenings of Resident Evil.

What is happening in the Slayground trailer?

The promotional trailer for A24’s Slayground shows security cam footage of people running for their lives in a cramped haunted house attraction. The preview also features some terrifying shots of men in scary masks wielding axes, as well as rooms filled with disturbing objects like a severed head hooked to some kind of electrical device for an experiment.

The trailer adds the tagline, “A24 invites you to an experience you’ll never forget,” before sharing the web address runlikehell.com. The link takes viewers to an array of security cam footage featuring the terrified customers at the haunted house attraction.

Below the security cams is a big digital countdown to October 20, 2026. It remains unclear what the date could signify. Perhaps an official trailer with further plot details will be released that day. A surprise release could also be on the way since filming wrapped last year.

Slayground, which was previously titled October, continues to keep its official synopsis under wraps. Previous reports suggested that the movie could be director Jeremy Saulnier’s genre-bending take on The Fugitive. However, there has been no confirmation of the fan theory.

Slayground stars Cory Michael Smith, Chase Sui Wonders, Sophie Wilde, Imogen Poots, Matty Matheson, Young Mazino, Stephen Root, James Badge Dale, and more. A24 has not announced an official release date yet.
