Cody Rhodes Turns Guile Into a Hilariously Wild Street Fighter Movie Popcorn Bucket
WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes gave Street Fighter fans a first look at an unusual popcorn bucket inspired by his character in the movie. The wrestler plays the military martial artist Guile in the upcoming action-comedy film based on the iconic video game franchise.
Rhodes shared the exclusive AMC popcorn bucket on X with a video. The new bucket is styled directly after Guile’s signature flat-top haircut. The actor wears the hairstyle-inspired bucket on his head with popcorn filling in where the hair would sit. He described the bucket as “it’s ergonomic and it’s aerodynamic, and it can be yours,” in the video.
Rhodes shared the video alongside posts from Legendary, Paramount, AMC Theaters, and the film’s official accounts. While the hairstyle closely resembles the in-game character, Jean-Claude Van Damme played the role in the 1994 adaptation with a short, gelled hairstyle.
AMC Theaters did not reveal the pricing for the Guile-inspired popcorn bucket.
Guile isn’t the only familiar face coming to live-action Street Fighter movie
While the sonic-booming military officer is coming to the movie, it also brings several major video game characters to life. Andrew Koji and Noah Centineo lead the cast as Ryu and Ken Masters, while Callina Liang plays Chun-Li. Andrew Schulz plays Dan Hibiki, while Vidyut Jammwal portrays Dhalsim.
Other announced characters include David Dastmalchian as M. Bison, Jason Momoa as Blanka, Roman Reigns as Akuma, Orville Peck as Vega, Olivier Richters as Zangief, and Hirooki Goto as E. Honda, among others.
The PG-13-rated film’s official synopsis reads: “Set in 1993, estranged Street Fighters Ryu and Ken Masters are thrown back into combat when the mysterious Chun-Li recruits them for the next World Warrior Tournament: a brutal clash of fists, fate, and fury. But behind this battle royale lies a deadly conspiracy that forces them to face off against each other and the demons of their past. And if they don’t, it’s GAME OVER!”
Distributed by Paramount Pictures, the 125-minute movie hits theaters on October 16, 2026.
