Watch Emily Ratajkowski & Tyler Perry’s NSFW Thriller Before It Leaves Streaming

The psychological mystery thriller Gone Girl will be leaving Netflix soon. Directed by David Fincher, the movie was a huge hit at the box office and received a positive reception from both critics and audiences. Alongside leading stars Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike, the film features several standout supporting performances from the likes of Neil Patrick Harris, Tyler Perry, and Emily Ratajkowski.

Gone Girl is leaving Netflix next month

According to a report by What’s On Netflix, Gone Girl, directed by David Fincher, will be leaving Netflix on October 1, 2026. The movie was released in theaters in the United States in October 2014. Beyond its psychological and mystery themes, the movie was rated R for its bloody and NSFW content.

Based on the hit book by Gillian Flynn, the film turned out to be a massive box-office hit. Made on a reported budget of $61 million, the mystery thriller took an opening collection of over $37 million from 3,014 theaters (via Box Office Mojo). It earned close to $167.7 million domestically and $201 million internationally. This took the movie’s worldwide collection to $369 million.

In addition to its box office success, the movie received good reviews from critics. On Rotten Tomatoes‘ Tomatometer, the movie received a score of 88 percent based on critic reviews. It also holds a score of 87 percent on the Popcornmeter based on audience reviews.

Ratajkowski spoke about working with veterans like Affleck on the movie and told People Magazine in 2015, “They led by example. They’re all amazing actors, and I just really rose to the occasion being around that.”

She told GQ the same year that she was starstruck by Affleck and stated, “When I first met him, it was a weird feeling: it was at the call-back; I didn’t expect Ben to be there. It was one of those moments when you double-take, and then you’re like, ‘Oh my God…That’s Ben Affleck!'”
