Brad Pitt’s Cliff Booth Movie Isn’t the Only OUATIH Quentin Tarantino Project Releasing in 2026

Brad Pitt is reprising his Oscar-winning role as stuntman Cliff Booth in an upcoming film written by Quentin Tarantino. The movie serves as a follow-up to Once Upon a Time in… Hollywood, written and directed by Tarantino.

Tarantino writes and produces The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth, which is set to release later this year. However, that won’t be Tarantino’s only OUATIH project in 2026. The Academy Award-winning filmmaker is writing a novel version of the upcoming spinoff movie, according to Variety.

The book is titled The Adventures of Cliff Booth. Published by HarperCollins, the book will hit shelves on December 8, shortly after the film hits theaters.

That makes Tarantino’s second project this year based on his acclaimed 2019 comedy-drama. He received Best Director and Best Original Screenplay nominations for OUATIH at the 2020 Oscars, Golden Globes, and BAFTA.

What do we know about the Brad Pitt Cliff Booth movie?

The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth is set in 1977 Los Angeles, eight years after the events of its predecessor. The film follows the life of Cliff Booth, with Brad Pitt reprising his award-winning role as the stuntman and longtime friend of Rick Dalton, played by Leonardo DiCaprio in the original film.

While official plot details remain under wraps, the Rotten Tomatoes description says former stuntman Cliff Booth will take on a new role as a “Hollywood fixer.”

Apart from Pitt, the sequel sees Timothy Olyphant also reprise his role as Western actor James Stacy. They are joined by newcomers like Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Peter Weller, Matt Groove, JB Tadena, Corey Fogelmanis, and Karren Karagulian.

David Fincher directs the film from a script by Tarantino, which was later acquired by Netflix. Tarantino and Pitt also serve as producers alongside David Heyman, Stacey Sher, and Ceán Chaffin.

Distributed by Netflix, the film is scheduled to release exclusively in IMAX on November 25, 2026, for two weeks, followed by a streaming release on December 23, 2026.
