Avengers Endgame: Encore Runtime Update Reveals Which Screenings Have the Most Doomsday Footage

According to the British Board of Film Classification runtime listing, every standard Endgame: Encore screening will run for 3 hours, 3 minutes, and 3 seconds. In contrast, the IMAX and Infinity Vision versions run longer, at 3 hours, 6 minutes, and 14 seconds. The original 2019 movie runtime was 3 hours, 1 minute, and 11 seconds.
Per the reported listing, the standard version (playing on regular screens) will have 1 minute 52 seconds of extra scenes. As the IMAX and Infinity Vision versions run 3 minutes longer than the standard re-release, this implies the announced Doomsday footage is exclusive to premium formats.
Overall, the premium-format re-release would have 5 minutes and 3 seconds of extra footage to the $2.7 billion MCU blockbuster when viewed in select screens.

However, Marvel has not publicly confirmed what the new footage contains. The new material could instead connect Avengers: Endgame more directly to the events of Doomsday.
In an interview with Fandango, director Joe Russo said the Endgame Encore is “required viewing” before Doomsday. “There’s a natural progression from Endgame into Doomsday, which is also inclusive of all the other stories that have been playing out,” Russo added.
Avengers Endgame: Encore releases on September 25, 2026, followed by Avengers: Doomsday on December 18, 2026.
