Passenger Paramount+ Streaming Release Date Set for Scary Horror Movie You May Have Missed
Passenger will soon be available for streaming on Paramount+. The movie was released during a crowded horror season, alongside the successful films Obsession and Backrooms. Now, subscribers can catch up on one of 2026’s supernatural horror movies on the streamer this August.
Helmed by André Øvredal, Passenger will be available to stream on Paramount+ on Thursday, August 20, 2026. Øvredal is best known for horror films including The Autopsy of Jane Doe, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark and The Last Voyage of the Demeter.
The movie’s theatrical run began on May 22, 2026. However, it received mixed reviews from critics. At the time of writing, the horror flick has earned a 47% Tomatometer score and a 55% Popcornmeter score on Rotten Tomatoes. The movie grossed $31.04 million on an estimated $15 million production budget.
Fans of supernatural horror and mystery thrillers can now give this movie another go on the streamer this August. The movie stars Jacob Scipio and Lou Llobell in a supernatural horror story centered on a young couple whose road trip takes a terrifying turn.

The film was produced by Walter Hamada and Gary Dauberman. The executive producers are Jenny Hinkey, Nathan Samdahl, Pete Chiappetta, Anthony Tittanegro, and Andrew Lary.
