Demi Lovato’s Mitchie Torres cameo in Camp Rock 3 officially confirmed

Disney revealed that Demi Lovato will reprise her iconic role as Mitchie Torres in Camp Rock 3. The studio confirmed that Lovato returns as both an executive producer and a cameo performer. Camp Rock 3 premieres Aug. 13 on Disney Channel at 8:00 p.m. EDT/PDT and streams the next day on Disney+.

Additionally, Lovato joins returning cast members Joe Jonas as Shane Gray, Nick Jonas as Nate Gray, and Kevin Jonas as Jason Gray. Maria Canals-Barrera also returns as Connie, who now serves as the camp director. Meanwhile, the film introduces new franchise stars including Liamani Segura, Malachi Barton, Lumi Pollack, and Sherry Cola.

The story follows Connect 3 after they lose their opening act for a major reunion tour. As a result, they return to Camp Rock to discover the next big thing among aspiring young musicians. While campers compete for the chance to open for the band, tensions rise and friendships face challenges.

Furthermore, Veronica Rodriguez directs the film from a script by Eydie Faye. Tim Federle executive produces alongside the Jonas Brothers, Lovato, Betsy Sullenger, Spencer Berman, and Gary Marsh. Jamal Sims handles choreography for the Disney Kids & Family production.

Notably, Segura described the experience of working with the original stars as meaningful. “Having them back us up and pass the torch to us felt so wild,” she said. “I feel forever grateful that they invited us on set with open arms.”

The original Camp Rock (2008) and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam (2010) rank among the Top 10 Disney Channel Original Movies. Both films were the No. 1 cable movie premiere in their respective years. Since its debut, the franchise has accumulated over 535 million hours of viewing across linear and streaming platforms.
