A24 has released a new poster for Primetime. Robert Pattinson’s upcoming biographical film will see him play Chris Hansen. The poster arrives just one day before the debut of the film’s official trailer, and it also reveals its release date. Fans won’t have to wait long to see Pattinson transform into Hansen.
Accompanying the poster, A24 also announced that Primetime will be released on September 25, 2026. The film’s first teaser set the stage for what fans should expect from it, and its upcoming trailer should reveal more details about the story.

What else do we know about the Primetime movie with Robert Pattinson?
The poster doesn’t reveal much, showing a close-up of Pattinson with makeup that transforms him into the Dateline NBC host. The film will follow Hansen in 2006 as he hosts To Catch a Predator, which later makes him an international sensation. In the show, Hansen works with law enforcement to catch suspected child predators. The series premiered in 2004 and ran for 20 episodes. Following that, Hansen hosted Killer Instinct, which centered around homicide investigations. Most recently, Hansen starred in the documentary Dangerous Games: Investigating Roblox — A Chris Hansen Special.
Lance Oppenheim is directing the film, which is also his feature film debut. Before this, the American filmmaker directed several short films like The Happiest Guy in the World, The Paradise Next Door, and the TV movie Spermworld. The film is produced by Pattinson, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Fred Berger, William Iannaccone, Brighton McCloskey, Lars Knudsen, and Ari Aster.
Besides Pattinson, the film also stars Merritt Wever, Skyler Gisondo, and Phoebe Bridgers. Primetime will be Pattinson’s third film in 2026, following The Drama and The Odyssey. The actor will also star in Dune: Part 3 later this year as the villainous Scytale. Following that, Pattinson will star in Here Comes the Flood, a heist film from Fernando Meirelles.
