Grown Ups 3: Adam Sandler’s Comedy Sequel Gets Great News Fans Have Been Waiting For
Adam Sandler has reportedly begun filming Grown Ups 3 in New Jersey. The actor was recently spotted filming with co-star Chris Rock at multiple locations. The report comes just two months after Netflix confirmed the highly anticipated sequel in May 2026.
According to a report by Patch, Sandler and Rock were spotted shooting for Grown Ups 3 in Woodbridge, New Jersey, on Monday. Residents reportedly saw the two actors with a large film crew on Wendy Road, in the Colonia section of Woodbridge.
The following day, Sandler was once again seen filming at Rod’s Steak & Seafood inside The Madison Hotel in Morristown, NJ. In a recent reel capturing the location, the official Instagram page of Morristown Media confirmed the report after speaking directly with a “member of the production crew on-site.” The post further reported, “According to the crew member, Adam Sandler is expected to be on-site during filming.”

In May 2026, Netflix announced that Adam Sandler will be back for Grown Ups 3 along with several other original cast members from the previous movies. Although the streamer has not confirmed an official cast lineup for the upcoming sequel, the recent sightings at filming locations have led to speculations that Chris Rock may return as well.
Kyle Newacheck, who previously directed Sandler in Happy Gilmore 2, will helm Grown Ups 3. Sandler is also reuniting with Grown Ups 2 co-writer Tim Herlihy to pen the script. The pair further joins Jackie Sandler and Jack Giarraputo as the producers.
The first Grown Ups (2010) starred Sandler along with Chris Rock, Kevin James, David Spade, and Rob Schneider. The actors played childhood friends who reunited for a summer trip with their wives and kids. The movie also featured Maya Rudolph, Maria Bello, Joyce Van Patten, and Salma Hayek. The cast returned in Grown Ups 2 in 2013.
Netflix has not announced a release date for Grown Ups 3 yet.
