Perez Hilton Hospitalized After Deputies Respond to Distressing Self-Harm Livestream

Perez Hilton was hospitalized after deputies responded to his disturbing livestream where he appeared to harm himself on Tuesday night. Police were called to his Florida home at the request of viewers on his TikTok livestream as they became concerned for his safety.

After his video ended, it showed Hilton covered in blood. Soon, deputies with the Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to his home after receiving multiple calls from the viewers on his TikTok, reports People.

Once the deputies were inside his home, they found that Hilton was alone at the time of filming the video.

What did Miami-Dade deputies say about the emergency response

After finding Perez Hilton, Miami-Dade deputies took him to the nearby hospital for immediate medical attention.

“In many incidents involving a person experiencing a mental health crisis or actively harming themselves, deputies prioritize de-escalation by creating time, distance, and opportunities for communication,” said the spokesperson for the Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Office.

“Unless there is an immediate threat to others, slowing the situation and utilizing crisis intervention techniques can reduce the likelihood of a suicide-by-cop encounter and minimize the risk of injury to the individual, deputies, and the public,” the official statement added.

Alongside the deputies, the Crisis Response Unit and licensed health professionals were also present to monitor Hilton and provide support to his family members.

Hilton, 48, has been previously hospitalized this year. In March, he was hospitalized with severe sepsis in Las Vegas. The following month, he was once again hospitalized for a deep vein thrombosis on his right leg.

Within days, however, he shared a video of himself, stating that he was back on his feet. “I can finally walk again!!” he wrote over the clip on Instagram. “Thank GOD that I can finally walk again – slowly. And, though the pain is still very pronounced, I can tolerate it – and do this all without meds. Amen!!”
