Christopher Hellenthal, a 20-year-old from Jonesboro, Arkansas, received an invitation from Sony Pictures to attend the Los Angeles premiere of Spider-Man: Brand New Day after his spontaneous roadside rescue captured attention across social media.

The unexpected reward followed a viral video showing him, still dressed as Spider-Man after working a superhero-themed event at a trampoline park, rushing into traffic to help a man using a wheelchair safely cross a busy street before vehicles began moving again (via News Center Maine).

The heartfelt moment unfolded in broad daylight and was caught on a nearby security camera. Local police later shared the footage online, thanking Hellenthal for stepping in. Looking back, he said instinct took over. “I had a bunch of adrenaline pumping through me,” he told the Associated Press, explaining there wasn’t time to hesitate.
