Spider-Man: Brand New Day Star Jacob Batalon Secretly Marries Longtime Girlfriend

Spider-Man: Brand New Day‘s popular star Jacob Batalon has secretly tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend. Batalon is set to reprise his beloved role of Ned Leeds in the upcoming MCU movie alongside Tom Holland.

It was revealed that Batalon married interior designer Veronica Leahov in a private ceremony, according to Entertainment Weekly. The news surfaced online after Batalon casually referred to Leahov as his wife during a promotional interview for Brand New Day.

Leahov appeared to confirm the news herself by updating her name to Veronica Leahov Batalon on her professional website. The couple previously announced their engagement last year on social media, with Batalon captioning an Instagram post, “The beginning of the rest of our lives together.”

During an interview with SiriusXM, back in January this year, Jacob Batalon had revealed the details on how he actually planned his secret wedding.

Batalon mentioned that he wasn’t actively involved in the process and asked his wife, who was his fiancée that time, to make the preparations by herself. Explaining the main reason behind this process, Batalon revealed that he was “not good at planning.”

Thanks to his wedding plans, though, the Spider-Man: Brand New Day star eventually learned that flowers have different names. Batalon added, “I just figured out the difference between peonies and roses.”

Interestingly, Batalon’s Brand New Day co-star and Spider-Man Tom Holland had also confirmed his wedding news just a month ago. During an interview with Esquire, the actor made it official that he and Zendaya have been married for quite some time.

Admiring the acclaimed actress, now his wife, Holland said, “She’s my best friend, and I’m the happiest I have ever been when I’m with her, but I have also never felt so supported and safe, ever.”

Holland, Zendaya, and Batalon will be seen together in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the superhero movie hits theaters on July 31, 2026.
