Anne Hathaway’s New Film Post Odyssey Casts Martin Luther King Jr. Actor

Anne Hathaway’s next movie after The Odyssey, which will see her step into a producer role, has added Selma star David Oyelowo to its principal cast. As such, Oyelowo, who earned worldwide acclaim for his portrayal of Martin Luther King Jr. in the 2014 film, will be sharing the screen in the feature, titled Little Five, with the previously announced Ariana Greenblatt and Rain Spencer.

David Oyelowo joins the cast of the Anne Hathaway-produced Little Five

According to a recent report published by Deadline, David Oyelowo has officially boarded the cast of Little Five, which is an indie movie from Anne Hathaway’s production company Somewhere Pictures.

Helmed by Ian Samuels, the film draws inspiration from the popular Little 500 cycling race at Indiana University. It follows the journey of a batch of young women who, against all odds, form an unlikely alliance in an attempt to realize their athletic dreams, all the while battling traditional hurdles and societal roadblocks.

Oyelowo will be playing Randall in the Anne Hathaway-produced movie, who is a former cycling champion who failed to achieve his dream of excelling in the sport. However, Randall is inadvertently pulled back into the sport, following which he becomes a mentor to the next generation of cyclists. While tutoring younglings, Randall also comes face-to-face with his unfinished dream.

In addition to Oyelowo, Greenblatt, and Spencer, the indie Anne Hathaway movie also features Sasha Frolova as Ingrid, Nadia Alexander as Josie, Drew Powell as Will, and Max Cortezi as TFG, among others. While Samuels has taken on the directing responsibilities, Gillian Williams has penned the screenplay for the film.

Zachary Spicer is producing the movie for Pigasus Pictures, with Anne Hathaway, Adam Shulman, and Johnathan Rice assuming the same role for Somewhere Pictures. Despite all the updates, Little Five does not have an official release date window as of yet.
