Kevin Hart‘s latest Netflix comedy is already breaking streaming records days after its chaotic premiere. The bachelor party film brings together an unlikely cast in a wild Miami adventure that critics can’t stop debating.

Kevin Hart’s 72 Hours tops Netflix’s streaming charts

Kevin Hart’s new comedy 72 Hours currently sits at No. 1 on Netflix’s Top 10 Movies chart in the United States. The film claimed the top spot on July 27, 2026, according to FlixPatrol‘s streaming rankings. Director Tim Story’s latest project also outpaced A Toxic Love Story and Ordinary Angels on the platform.

The Netflix original, which seems like an answer to the popular movie The Hangover, follows a 40-year-old advertising executive who joins a group of people in their twenties on a Miami bachelor party. Hart’s character Joe gets accidentally added to their group text, setting off a wild three-day adventure. Mason Gooding, Marcello Hernández, Ben Marshall, and Kam Patterson round out the central cast of the comedy.

Netflix released 72 Hours on July 24, 2026. The film runs 105 minutes and carries an MA 15+ rating on the platform. Hart produced the project alongside John Davis, Will Packer, and Tim Story through their respective production companies.

The comedy reunites Hart with Story, who previously directed him in the Ride Along franchise. Christopher Lennertz composed the film’s score, recording it at AIR Studios in London and Sonic Fuel Studios in Los Angeles. Zach Cherry, Michael Mando, Andy Garcia, and Teyana Taylor also appear in supporting roles throughout the film.

Although it is a hit on the streaming platform, critics have offered mixed assessments of the bachelor party comedy since its release last week. The film holds a 17% approval rating from 24 critics on Rotten Tomatoes. On IMDb, it is rated 5.4 out of 10. Metacritic assigned it a weighted average score of 44 out of 100 based on 12 critical reviews.
