Dave Bautista & More A-List Actors Are 1950s Biker Aliens in Wild Alpha Gang First Look
Dave Bautista shares a biker look from his upcoming alien-invasion movie, Alpha Gang. The actor poses alongside other cast members in a 1950s get-up as one of the alien invaders pursuing the conquest of Earth.
What do we see in the first look for Alpha Gang with Dave Bautista?
The Toronto International Film Festival has announced the alien-invasion comedy movie Alpha Gang in its Special Presentations section lineup. Ahead of its international debut, a first-look image of the movie has also been released.
The first look shows Bae Doona, Lily Rose Depp, Léa Seydoux, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Riley Keough, and Dave Bautista in their disguised biker-punk looks. Besides them, audiences also get a glimpse of the movie’s retro setting.
Alpha Gang is directed by David and Nathan Zellner. It follows an alien gang leader, Alpha One, and her crew who disguise themselves as 1950s bikers to invade Earth. Their conquest plan derails when they experience human emotions, complicating their mission.
Along with the aforementioned cast, the movie also stars Cate Blanchett, Adria Arjona, and Chris Pine. The Zellner brothers, Blanchett, Coco Francini, Keough, Gina Gammell, Ryan Zacarias, Andrea Bucko, Mary Aloe, and Joshua Harris are the movie’s producers.
In a joint statement about the movie, Blanchett and Francini commented, “The Zellner brothers’ work never fails to surprise and delight us. In ‘Alpha Gang,’ they have created a far-out world in order to lampoon something much closer to home: the hilarious, absurd, and peculiar truth of the human condition (via Variety).”
The movie was first announced in 2020; however, production was paused due to Pandemic restrictions. The brothers then began working on their Bigfoot film Sasquatch Sunset, starring Keough and Jesse Eisenberg. When it was announced again in 2024, Channing Tatum, Steven Yeun, and Zoë Kravitz were cast in the movie. However, their departure from the project was left without any statement.
Alpha Gang will make its international premiere at TIFF in September 2026. No theatrical release date has been announced yet.
