Liam Neeson’s acclaimed action thriller is set to reach a wider audience through Netflix. The film, which earned an 83% critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes, will soon be available for streaming on the platform.

Liam Neeson’s action thriller In the Land of Saints and Sinners will join Netflix’s streaming library next month. According to What’s on Netflix, the film will be available to stream beginning August 6, 2026.

Robert Lorenz directed the film from a screenplay by Mark Michael McNally and Terry Loane. In the Land of Saints and Sinners premiered at the 80th Venice International Film Festival on September 6, 2023, before opening in limited theaters across the US on March 29, 2024.

Set in 1970s Ireland, the film follows Finbar Murphy, a former assassin and World War II veteran who has left his violent past behind to live quietly in the coastal village of Glencolmcille. His peaceful retirement unravels when a group of IRA terrorists arrives in the town. After discovering that one of the terrorists has been abusing a local girl, Finbar takes up arms once again.

As he confronts the group, he must choose between keeping his true identity hidden or protecting the people around him. The film stars Neeson as Finbar Murphy, Kerry Condon as Doireann McCann, Jack Gleeson as Kevin, Ciarán Hinds as Vinnie O’Shea, Sarah Greene as Sinead, and Colm Meaney as Robert McQue among others.

The film received a positive response from critics. On Rotten Tomatoes, In the Land of Saints and Sinners holds an 83 percent critics’ score based on 80 reviews, while its audience score stands at 74 percent. The production team primarily shot the film on location in County Donegal, with additional filming taking place in Dublin. Diego, Nora, and Lionel Baldenweg composed the soundtrack.
