Brad Pitt Makes Jackass Return in Best and Last, But Not How Fans Want

Academy Award winner Brad Pitt made an unexpected appearance in Jackass: Best and Last, which is now playing in theaters. This comes after Pitt famously appeared in the original reality comedy show’s final season to join the cast for two iconic stunts. The first one was pranking bystanders by staging an abduction where a group of guys in ski masks takes a screaming Pitt into a black van. The acclaimed actor also participated in the cast’s “Night Monkey” skit, which featured Pitt wearing a full gorilla suit as they ran amok through the streets of Los Angeles.

How does Brad Pitt return in Jackass: Best and Last?

After years of fans wanting Pitt back with the Jackass crew, he finally appeared in the franchise’s latest movie, Jackass: Best and Last. However, it isn’t exactly the return that fans were anticipating. Following the film’s release, it has been revealed that Pitt actually appears in the new Jackass movie through an extended footage of his famous abduction scene. Although the Bullet Train star didn’t film anything new for the film, the remastered archival clip did show some never-before-seen moments from the crew’s time filming with the A-list actor.

Jackass: Best and Last was directed and produced by Jeff Tremaine. Knoxville also served as a producer alongside Spike Jonze and Shanna Newton. The ensemble cast includes Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Wee Man (Jason Acuña), Dave England, Danger Ehren (Ehren McGhehey), Preston Lacy, Rachel Wolfson, Jasper, Dark Shark (Compston Wilson), Poopies (Sean McInerney), and Zach Holmes.

“Johnny Knoxville and the gang return for one final fling at the big screen. Featuring all-new stunts and stupidity along with the greatest hits and biggest laughs from the past, the film is a joyously raucous celebration of all the mischievous camaraderie that you’ve come to love and expect from these idiots over the past 25 years,” reads the official synopsis. “So, grab your dumb little buddies, raise your glasses, and come experience the cinematic event that promises to be the last time you’ll ever laugh this hard in a theatre.”

The R-rated film was executive-produced by Greg Iguchi, Pete Chiappetta, Anthony Tittanegro, and Andrew Lary. It was a production by Paramount Pictures and MTV Entertainment Studios in association with Domain Entertainment and A Dickhouse Production. So far, the final installment has already received a 87% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
