Alan Ritchson‘s upcoming revenge action film Motor City has dropped its trailer. It offers more insight into Ritchson’s next action role following the previously released teaser and poster.

What do we see in the Motor City trailer?

Motor City’s synopsis reads, “In 1970s Detroit, John Miller falls for a local gangster’s girl. In retaliation, the gangster enacts a frame job to send the innocent man to prison. Life ruined, Miller plots a revenge campaign against the man who took his girl away.”

The trailer picks up where the teaser left off, showing John Miller behind bars after being framed. Upon his release, he sets out for revenge. The footage delivers a mix of hand-to-hand combat, gunfights, and high-speed chases with explosions.

Another movie poster was also previously released with the tagline “Love Will Drive You Mad,” which also appeared in the teaser. The poster’s caption, “March to the beat of your own vengeance,” speaks directly to the film’s plot, driven by revenge.

Motor City has a runtime of one hour and 43 minutes and will be distributed by Independent Film Company. It’s directed by Potsy Ponciroli, best known for crime-action films like Greedy People and Old Henry. The production team includes Jon Berg, who is best known for Wonder Woman and Aquaman, alongside Cliff Roberts, Greg Silverman, and Joshua Harris.

Alongside Ritchson, the cast includes Shailene Woodley as Sophia, Pablo Schreiber as Savick, Ben McKenzie as Kent, Ben Foster as Reynolds, and Lionel Boyce as Youngblood.

Motor City will be released on July 24, 2026.
