3 Beloved Paul Walker Action Movies Are Arriving on Peacock Very Soon

Three fan-favorite entries from an action franchise are heading to Peacock in the coming days. The films include some of Paul Walker’s memorable performances in the long-running saga. The trio is a turning point for the franchise, transforming it from a street-racing series into a global action powerhouse.

Three Fast and Furious movies to stream on Peacock next month

Starting July 1st, Peacock’s July lineup will have Fast Five, Fast & Furious 6, and Furious 7 (via Geek Spin). Together, the three films form one of the most celebrated stretches in the franchise’s history.

All three feature Paul Walker as former police officer Brian O’Conner alongside Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto, while also expanding the ensemble cast with stars such as Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, and Jordana Brewster.

Released in 2011, Fast Five is often credited with reinventing the series. Directed by Justin Lin and distributed by Universal Pictures, the film follows Dom and Brian as they assemble a crew for a massive heist in Rio de Janeiro while being hunted by federal agent Luke Hobbs. Produced on an estimated $125 million budget, the movie earned over $600 million worldwide. It holds a 7.3 IMDb rating and a 77% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes.

The momentum continued with 2013’s Fast & Furious 6. Once again directed by Lin, the story reunites the crew to help Hobbs stop a dangerous mercenary team led by Owen Shaw. The film was made for roughly $160 million and grossed nearly $789 million worldwide. It currently holds a 7.0 IMDb rating, a 71% Rotten Tomatoes critics score, and an 84% audience score.

The final addition, 2015’s Furious 7, became a global phenomenon. Directed by James Wan, the film follows the crew as they face Deckard Shaw while trying to protect a surveillance program. Beyond its action spectacle, the movie is remembered for its emotional farewell to Walker following his death in 2013.

The film earned more than $1.5 billion worldwide against a reported $190 million budget. It remains one of the franchise’s highest-rated entries, posting an 81% Rotten Tomatoes score, an 82% audience score, and a 7.1 IMDb rating.
