Tom Holland Reunites With Oscar-Winning Director for ‘Secret’ Project
Tom Holland has revealed that he’s reuniting with an acclaimed filmmaker for a new “long-form” project. The 30-year-old is one of the busiest and most active actors in the industry today. Apart from this new project with Thomas Vinterberg, he has several movies on the pipeline, two of which, The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day, are coming out this year.

During a new interview, the Uncharted star disclosed that he and Danish filmmaker Thomas Vinterberg are collaborating on a “project.”
Tom Holland told Kino DK, “I absolutely love Thomas. We are working on another project together, which is really exciting. And I love developing with him. I think he’s really smart. The way he kind of breaks down the character, the way he can bring heart to a story, is kind of unmatched. So I’m very excited about the idea of working with him long-form. But when I did work with him on the commercial, we had the best time.”
When asked if he could tell anything about the project, Holland declined. He said, “No. It’s a secret. It’s early days.”
Notably, Vinterberg has previously written and directed movies like The Biggest Heroes, It’s All About Love, The Hunt, and The Commune. His most recent feature was 2020’s Another Round, featuring Mads Mikkelsen. The movie garnered widespread acclaim and currently has a 93% approval rating on the review-aggregating site Rotten Tomatoes after 233 reviews.
Another Round also won several accolades, including the Best International Feature Film prize at the 93rd Academy Awards. Additionally, Thomas Vinterberg received a Best Director nod for the movie. His film, The Hunt, also garnered the Best International Feature Film nomination in 2014, but ultimately lost to Paolo Sorrentino’s The Great Beauty.
As Tom Holland mentioned, the pair previously worked together on a commercial. It was for Prada, and it debuted in 2025. While the Marvel actor doesn’t explicitly say this mysterious project is a movie, we can probably assume it will be, given that he uses the phrase “long-form.”
