A new trailer for the forthcoming Supergirl movie has been released. Tickets are now on sale, as the film will be released in United States theaters and IMAX later this month.
DC Studios and Warner Bros. Pictures’ Supergirl comes from director Craig Gillespie. Set within James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DCU, the movie will see Milly Alcock reprise her role as Supergirl/Kara Zor-El after she briefly appeared at the end of Superman, which was released in 2025.

What do we see in the new Supergirl trailer?
The new Supergirl trailer once again highlights that Kara is on a planet far, far away from Earth, celebrating her birthday, when tragedy suddenly strikes after she runs into a villain named Krem of the Yellow Hills, who is being played by Matthias Schoenaerts. Partnering with a young girl named Ruthye Marye Knoll (Eve Ridley), Kara then sets out on a revenge quest that also sees her cross paths with Jason Momoa’s Lobo. Additionally, there’s some footage of David Corenswet’s Superman giving Kara her superhero costume and explaining the reason behind its bright colors.
The synopsis for Supergirl reads, “When an unexpected and ruthless adversary strikes too close to home, Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, reluctantly joins forces with an unlikely companion on an epic, interstellar journey of vengeance and justice.”
The cast of the movie further includes David Krumholtz as Zor-El, Emily Beecham as Alura In-Ze, and Ferdinand Kingsley as Elias Knoll. Gunn and Safran both produce the movie, while Nigel Gostelow, Chantal Nong Vo, and Lars P. Winther serve as executive producers.
Supergirl arrives on June 26, 2026, and ticket information can be found by clicking here. Superman, meanwhile, is currently available to stream on HBO. The next DCU movie after Supergirl will be Clayface, which is scheduled for October 23, 2026.
