Jason Bateman’s Star-Studded Netflix Movie Casts The White Lotus Actor & 4 More

Jason Bateman’s upcoming Netflix comedy thriller has added more all-star actors. The film, titled The Cackling Of The Dodos, now includes talent from hit shows like The White Lotus, Better Call Saul, and more.

Who has joined the cast of Jason Bateman’s Netflix movie?

Deadline has revealed that The Cackling Of The Dodos has added five more actors to its cast. The cast, which already included Sam Rockwell and Woody Harrelson, will also feature Fred Hechinger, Michael McKean, Esther McGregor, Jenn Lyon, and Emy Coligado.

Hechinger is said to have landed a “key role” opposite Rockwell and Harrelson. While the characters are being kept under wraps, the report reveals that the trio will serve as the film’s primary protagonists.

The film will follow George, a small-town farmer whose life is turned upside down when he comes across a corpse in a grain bin. When his boss, Denny, spins a chaotic and messy cover-up story to hide the crime, George reluctantly agrees to become part of the cover-up.

Hechinger was most recently featured in Marty Supreme, Gladiator 2, and Kraven the Hunter. McKean is best known for playing Chuck McGill on Better Call Saul. The actor was nominated for the Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series award at the Primetime Emmys in 2019 for the role.

Esther McGregor recently starred in Babygirl, We Were Liars, and The Room Next Door. Jenn Lyon has featured in TV shows like Dead Boy Detectives, Stumble, and more. Emy Coligado most recently played Piama in the Malcolm in the Middle revival.

The Cackling Of The Dodos is directed by Jason Bateman from a screenplay by Rye Curtis. The movie is being produced by Bateman and Michael Costigan for Aggregate, alongside Elise Konialian for Untitled, Anna Schwartz and Jeremy Plager for Children at Play, and Mark Berger. Harrelson, Rockwell, Erica Kay, Ara Keshishian, and Petr Jakl serve as executive producers of the film.

The Cackling Of The Dodos currently does not have a release date.
