Russell Crowe Fights Nina Dobrev and Aaron Paul for Survival in The Get Out Trailer

Vertical has released the first trailer for The Get Out. The new movie stars Russell Crowe as a nightclub owner fighting to protect his girlfriend from the cartels, robbers, and more. It is set to release in theaters on June 26, 2026, with a digital and on-demand release following it on June 30, 2026.

“A nightclub owner is on the verge of leaving his dangerous past behind for retirement with his girlfriend. When masked gunmen rob him and he finds himself squeezed by ruthless cartels, a mysterious newcomer arrives with an interest in buying the business. With danger closing in from all sides, he must navigate a deadly web of deception, power, and survival  –  where escape may no longer be an option,” reads the film’s official synopsis.

Who else stars in The Get Out?

Alongside Crowe, The Get Out also stars Luke Evans, Teresa Palmer, with Nina Dobrev and Aaron Paul also appearing in the movie. The film is directed by Derrick Borte, from a screenplay co-written by Borte and Daniel Forte. The movie is based on the novel Strip by Thomas Perry, which was originally published in 2010.

For Crowe, it’s yet another role for the star in 2026. Crowe previously starred in 2025’s Nuremberg, as well as 2026’s Beast. He’ll next star in the upcoming movies The Weight and Unabomber. For Paul, this will be his latest role since 2025’s Ash. He’s also set to star in a number of films coming up, including The Midnight Pool, Bear Country, Night House, and Anything but Ghosts.
