She-Ra’s ‘Huge Part’ & Masters Of The Universe 2 Get Exciting Update

Travis Knight just dropped a major hint about She-Ra’s future in the Masters of the Universe franchise. The director teased a potential role for the fan-favorite hero in a possible sequel.

Director Travis Knight revealed She-Ra’s importance to the Masters of the Universe franchise in an interview with SFX magazine. “For me, She-Ra has always been a big part of the Masters world and a big part of Adam’s story,” Knight said. He added that if the team gets to tell more stories, “She-Ra will play a huge part.”

Knight remained tight-lipped about whether She-Ra appears in the upcoming film. “Whether or not she plays any part in this movie, I cannot say,” he stated. He did confirm the creative team held “many, many conversations about the character” during production.

The director also hinted that significant content did not make the final cut. “There are giant scenes in the movie that aren’t there any longer,” Knight shared. He expressed hope that the deleted material would “get to see the light of day at some point.”

She-Ra debuted in 1985’s He-Man and She-Ra: The Secret of the Sword before starring in her own spinoff. Netflix later revived the character for She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, which ran for five seasons. Prime Video currently has a live-action She-Ra series in development. Heidi Schreck will write and executive produce, with Nicole Kassell directing the pilot episode.

Masters of the Universe stars Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Adam/He-Man and Jared Leto as Skeletor. Camila Mendes plays Teela, and Idris Elba portrays Man-At-Arms. Morena Baccarin takes on the role of The Sorceress. Alison Brie will feature as Skeletor’s second-in-command, Evil-Lyn. Kristin Wiig recently joined as the voice of Roboto. The film hits theaters on June 5, 2026.
