What Jordan Peele movie is now on Netflix?
Beginning today, Peele’s ambitious 2022 film Nope is finally available to stream on Netflix. The movie starred Daniel Kaluuya (Get Out), Keke Palmer (Hustle), and Steven Yeun (Minari), with Kaluuya and Palmer playing siblings working at their father’s horse ranch, where something unusual begins to happen. The ensemble cast also included Brandon Perea, Michael Wincott, Wrenn Schmidt, Keith David, Donna Mills, Barbie Ferreira, Devon Graye, Eddie Jemison, Oz Perkins, Terry Notary, Andrew Patrick Ralston, and Jennifer Lafleur.
“A man and his sister discover something sinister in the skies above their California horse ranch, while the owner of a nearby theme park tries to profit from the mysterious, otherworldly phenomenon,” reads the official synopsis.
Nope was written and directed by Peele, who earned an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for his 2017 directorial feature debut, Get Out. Despite receiving positive reviews from critics, the 2022 film was the comedic actor-turned-horror filmmaker’s lowest-grossing directorial project. It only grossed around $171 million at the box office.
The movie was a production by Monkeypaw Productions and Universal Pictures, with Peele and Ian Cooper serving as producers. It was executive-produced by Robert Graf and Win Rosenfeld. The creative team included composer Michael Abels, director of photography Hoyte Van Hoytema, and editor Nicholas Monsour.
