Shark Thrash Trailer Previews The Asylum’s New Shark Movie
The Asylum has shared the official trailer for Shark Thrash, its latest mockbuster survival movie from the director of 2021’s Pretty Boy and 2025’s The Anacondas. The film will be available to rent or own on digital platforms starting on Friday, May 15.
“A small and touristy beachside town is hit by a storm the size of which nobody could have predicted. A family who has just arrived tries to escape, but gets stuck in the quickly rising waters,” reads the official synopsis. “They try to figure out a way out with the help of some locals, but any progress is shut down when the sharks make their way onto the flooded streets. The family and locals must now find a way to survive as the waters rise.”

What happens in the Shark Thrash trailer?
The video shows a massive storm hitting a small town, which unexpectedly brings a shiver of sharks onto the town’s flooded streets. At the center of this disastrous phenomenon is a family trying to find a way to survive the storm and escape the vicious creatures. The trailer also highlights some of the film’s suspense-filled sequences, including the gruesome shark attacks.
Shark Thrash is directed by Marcel Walz, with Jacob Cooney and Jason White writing the screenplay. Before the upcoming film, Walz has directed several mockbusters such as Jurassic Reborn and The Anacondas. The ensemble cast includes Adam Huss, Gina Vitori, Rachel Emma Goodwin, Nicholas Olbina, and Lucas Hart. It is produced by David Michael Latt, with David Rimawi serving as an executive producer.
