Felicity Jones & More Cast in New Agatha Christie Mystery Movie With a Twist

In December 1926, Queen of Crime Agatha Christie‘s mysterious disappearance grabbed global headlines. That real-life mystery is heading to the big screen, as two-time Oscar nominee Felicity Jones and acclaimed actor Vincent Cassel have joined the upcoming project.

What do we know about the new Felicity Jones Agatha Christie mystery movie?

Deadline reports that Felicity Jones (The Theory of Everything, Star Wars: Rogue One) and Vincent Cassel (La Haine) have joined the cast of Eleven Missing Days. The noir-mystery thriller is being directed by Bertie Ellwood (Silo) from a screenplay by Ernesto Foronda, adapting Agatha Christie scholar Jared Cade’s book Agatha Christie and the Eleven Missing Days.

The central hook has Felicity Jones portraying Agatha Christie herself. Per the synopsis, “In a case of life imitating art, this whodunnit explores the investigation behind her disappearance, strangely resembling an Agatha Christie novel itself, where everyone in her life became a suspect.”

Cassel plays a retired Belgian police detective who gets drawn into the investigation of Agatha Christie’s mysterious disappearance. Other key cast members include Nicole Elizabeth Berger (He’s Watching You) and Oliver Trevena (The Gorge).

Eleven Missing Days is currently in pre-production and will begin shooting this summer in the UK. Range Media Partners is handling the film’s U.S. rights.

Producers on the film include Tatiana Kelly (The Catcher Was a Spy), Jim Young (The Man Who Knew Infinity), Lucas Jarach (The Dreadful), Nadine de Barros, Joshua Harris (We Bury the Dead), and James Cunningham. Ford Corbett and Nathan Klingher serve as the executive producers alongside Landon Ash, Richie Walls, Brando Eaton, Jeff Rice, Jeff James, Nicole Mejia, Frank Walker, and Marc Gabizon.

Eleven Missing Days is yet to receive an official release date window.
