New comments made by Dan Stevens have offered a small hint at what audiences can expect from Godzilla x Kong: Supernova. While discussing the upcoming Monsterverse movie, the actor praised the scale of the sequel and shared his excitement about returning to the series.
During a conversation with ComicBook, Stevens spoke about reprising his role as Trapper Beasley after appearing in Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. Reflecting on the experience of revisiting the character, the actor said, “I’m delighted to be back. Trapper is such a fun character, and I really enjoyed bringing him back.” He later added, “This next one is gonna be out of this world. It’s everything you love and more.”
The upcoming film serves as the next major chapter in Legendary Entertainment’s Monsterverse franchise. Earlier in 2025, Warner Bros. and Legendary officially unveiled the film’s title through a production announcement video, confirming that filming is now underway. According to released details, the story will introduce several new human characters alongside Godzilla and Kong as they confront another catastrophic threat capable of endangering the world.
Stevens reprises his role alongside a cast featuring Kaitlyn Dever, Jack O’Connell, Delroy Lindo, Matthew Modine, Alycia Debnam-Carey, and Sam Neill. The film’s screenplay has been written by Dave Callaham, with Grant Sputore directing.
Godzilla x Kong: Supernova is scheduled to arrive in theaters on March 26, 2027.
