Jujutsu Kaisen Becomes Canon To Marvel Universe

Jujutsu Kaisen officially entered the Marvel Universe after a new comic issue revealed a surprising multiverse connection between the two franchises. The crossover moment arrived in an unexpected place, linking one of anime’s biggest properties to Marvel’s expanding cosmic landscape in a way fans never saw coming.

Storm: Earth’s Mightiest Mutant #4 makes Jujutsu Kaisen a part of Marvel

Marvel’s Storm: Earth’s Mightiest Mutant #4 officially brings Jujutsu Kaisen into the Marvel Universe. The issue sees Storm traveling across the multiverse and briefly entering the world of Jujutsu Kaisen. She specifically arrives during Sukuna’s fight with Jogo in the Shibuya arc from Season 2.

The crossover moment places Jujutsu Kaisen as a canonical part of Marvel’s expanding multiverse. Marvel has spent recent years deepening its multiverse storytelling across both comics and the MCU. The publisher also recently revived its legendary crossover tradition with DC Comics.

Neither Marvel nor Shueisha has announced a full crossover between the two franchises. The appearance may function as an elaborate reference rather than a setup for a larger story. DC’s Nightwing previously featured Yuji Itadori appearing in Bludhaven in a similar nod to the anime.

However, manga and Western comics crossovers have grown increasingly common in recent years. Naruto crossed over with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and DC’s Sonic the Hedgehog crossover is getting a sequel. Godzilla has also participated in multiple crossover events across publishers on a near-annual basis.

AniTV posted on X that Jujutsu Kaisen “is now Officially Canon in MARVEL.” The post noted that “Sukuna is shown in the new Marvel Storm Comic mentioning Shibuya.” The post received over 4.2 million views within hours of publication on May 7, 2026.

Jujutsu Kaisen continues to expand its cultural footprint even as the manga nears its conclusion. The franchise recently announced Season 4, covering the Culling Game arc’s second part. Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, the series’ next major project, also received an official teaser. The Marvel appearance further cements the franchise’s status as one of anime’s most prominent global properties.
