Daredevil star Charlie Cox delighted comic book fans when he first shared the screen with Tom Holland‘s Peter Parker in Spider-Man: No Way Home. With the fourth film set to hit theaters this July, the internet is buzzing with speculation about Matt Murdock’s involvement in the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day. To make things interesting, the actor playing the iconic character has now spilled the beans.

Marvel’s team has not confirmed if Daredevil will make an appearance in Spider-Man: Brand New Day the way he did in No Way Home. But a recent revelation from Cox suggests there may be a surprise in store for fans.
In an interview with The Wrap, he was asked about rumors of his return in Holland’s upcoming movie. Cox gave a mysterious response, neither confirming nor denying his involvement.
The English actor mentioned that, previously at Netflix, such crossovers were not possible. Cox said, “But now that we are — having made these kind of mini-splashes with me in [Spider-Man: No Way Home], Vincent in Hawkeye and Echo, it’s on the table, it’s on the cards. It’s possible, it’s available, and Jon [Bernthal] now going into [Spider-Man: Brand New Day] as well.”
The MCU is known for delivering shocking crossover moments in the movies and TV shows over the years. Fans will definitely hope for Murdock’s return to share the screen once again with Peter Parker, especially after Cox’s latest update.
Daredevil: Born Again, Season 2 has just concluded on Disney+ while setting the stage for a third season. It’s on track to arrive in March 2027. While there’s time for the next Daredevil adventure, the actor also offered a small tease.
“There is an excellent Daredevil run in the comics that this season, at least at the beginning, pays homage to, which is really, really fun,” Cox said. “So when I knew about that, I was very excited, because it’s a very, very cool storyline.”
