Watch Star Wars’ Hayden Christensen Embrace His Inner Anakin for May the 4th
Hayden Christensen, best known for his role as Anakin Skywalker and later Darth Vader in the Star Wars franchise, kicked off May the 4th at the Empire State Building. In a video posted on the X page of the famed monument, Christensen can be seen embracing his inner Darth Vader. This is as he looks out of the Empire State Building in a long coat. It resembles the cloak of his famed character.

In a video posted by the Empire State Building on X, Hayden Christensen can be seen celebrating his famous Star Wars role. The actor stood with his back to the camera. He was looking ahead out of the building, resembling his famous character from the franchise. Moreover, the background music further established his Star Wars persona.
As per the Empire State Building’s official page, Christensen was there to kickstart the “March to May the 4th” campaign. As described on the official website, “Christensen lit up the building in Sith-red alongside his alter ego, Darth Vader, and an army of Stormtroopers. The building’s ‘March to May the 4th’ campaign features a LEGO ‘Star Wars’ exhibit, a giant Darth Vader Funko on the Empire State Building’s 86th Floor Observatory, a ‘Star Wars’ villain-themed window exhibition on Fifth Avenue, and a movie screening of ‘Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.'”
May the 4th is an annual commemorative day celebrating the Star Wars media franchise. The celebration has existed since 1977. Moreover, it has continued to grow over the years, becoming a major occasion for Star Wars fans worldwide.
Good Morning America was also present to cover the event as Hayden Christensen showcased aesthetics associated with his franchise character.
Hayden Christensen played Anakin Skywalker in the prequel trilogy of the Star Wars franchise. He also reprised the role in the Disney+ shows Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022) and Ahsoka (2023).
