Travis Kelce Responds To Meryl Streep Mocking Him in New Movie

Travis Kelce reacted to Meryl Streep’s unexpected shout-out in The Devil Wears Prada 2 promotional video. During his podcast episode, Jason asked Travis whether their family had any beef with Streep, who mocked the Kansas City Chiefs player in her new movie’s promotional material. Travis appeared taken aback by the suggestion of any conflict before revealing that he’s actually a big fan of the actress.

Travis Kelce hopes Meryl Streep has no ‘beef’ with him

In a recent episode of the New Heights Podcast, Jason brought up the topic of Streep, who made a funny comment about Kelce in The Devil Wears Prada 2. Reacting to the scene and to the idea of a potential conflict with the actress, Travis said, “Is there Meryl Streep beef? I hope she doesn’t have beef with me. That’s a powerful woman right there. I’m a fan of Meryl Streep. I don’t have any beef with her.”

Here, the scene Jason was referring to was of Streep, who plays Miranda Priestly, revealed that walking on the streets of Milan’s cobblestoned streets in her stilettos was the hardest challenge of the sequel. She further remarked, “I’d like to see Travis Kelce do that.”

This unexpected call-out was addressed by Kelce, who was shocked but also up for the Streep challenge at the same time. He said, “Oh, Meryl, you have no idea how good I am at walking in heels, okay?” He instantly entertained the idea of getting himself some size 14 heels to complete Streep’s challenge. Jason revealed that he’ll have it custom-made for him.

While initially enthusiastic about completing the challenge, Kelce was then very quick to back down and accept his defeat. “I’ll give credit where credit’s due. I don’t think I can do it, Meryl,” he said. “I’ll let you have it,” he said. Jason asked him not to be a quitter, as he’s an NFL star and losing against an Oscar-winning actress doesn’t look good. Travis argued, “No, I just don’t think I’m gonna make it to Italy and walk in stilettos!”
