Edward Burns Golf Movie Finnegan’s Foursome Gets Trailer, Release Date

Paramount has released the first Finnegan’s Foursome trailer, previewing the upcoming movie from Edward Burns about a family who competes in their own golf tournament to honor their late father.

“Two rival brothers and their adult children head to Ireland to honor their late father’s final wish: scattering his ashes on the coastal golf course he adored. What starts as a clash of egos, old grudges, and comic misadventures becomes a week of unlikely bonding and hard-won warmth. Along the way, the Finnegans learn that family—like golf—takes patience, forgiveness, and a willingness to play through the rough,” reads the film’s official synopsis.

What happens in the Finnegan’s Foursome trailer?

The trailer of the movie opens with the introduction of the Finnegan’s Cup, a golf prize given out by the Finnegan family. Unfortunately, the father of the family dies at the beginning of the family tradition, thrusting the family into traveling to Ireland to honor his late wishes of scattering his ashes on a golf course. There, they decide to continue the tournament, and bond along the way.

Finnegan’s Foursome is written and directed by Edward Burns and stars Burns, Brian d’Arcy James, Erica Hernandez, Brian Muller, and Ian McElhinney. Aaron Lubin, Frances O’Reilly, Ellen H. Schwartz, and Angela Victor are attached to the project as producers. Eoin Egan is an executive producer. For Burns, this is his latest film since 2025’s The Family McMullen.
