Enola Holmes 3 Release Date Set for Henry Cavill & Millie Bobby Brown Sequel
Netflix has locked in a release date for Enola Holmes 3, bringing Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill back to screens this summer. The announcement ends months of speculation and makes the detective sequel one of the streamer’s major blockbuster tentpoles for the season.
Enola Holmes 3 sets Netflix release date
Netflix confirmed the Summer 2026 window during its Next on Netflix 2026 slate reveal in January and has now narrowed the Enola Holmes 3 release date to July 1. The film carries a PG-13 rating for some violence and clocks in at 1 hour and 45 minutes, which is noticeably tighter than the two-hour-plus runtimes of its predecessors.
Philip Barantini takes over directing duties from Harry Bradbeer, possibly bringing a grittier visual style honed on projects like Boiling Point and Chernobyl. Jack Thorne returned to write the screenplay, with the sequel reportedly expected to skew darker and target an older audience than the first two films.
Netflix’s official logline teases a change of scenery: “Adventure chases detective Enola Holmes (Millie Bobby Brown) to Malta, where personal and professional dreams collide on a case more tangled and treacherous than any she has faced before.” The second film ended with Moriarty slipping away and Enola opening her own detective agency in London. That loose thread will likely weave through the new case in Malta.
Brown leads the Part 3 ensemble as Enola, fresh off wrapping Stranger Things’ final season. Henry Cavill reprises his role as Sherlock Holmes, now sharing quarters with Dr. John Watson. Himesh Patel steps into Watson’s shoes, while Helena Bonham Carter returns as Eudoria Holmes.
Louis Partridge is back as Ernest Tewksbury, with Sharon Duncan-Brewster as Mira Troy, Susan Wokoma as Edith, and Adeel Akhtar as Detective Lestrade. Newcomers include Joe Azzopardi, Eirwen Phoenix, Bern Collaço, and Mike Parish in supporting roles.
Now, fans gotta wait till July 1 for Enola Holmes.
