Ben Stiller Disapproves of Focker-In-Law Poster After New Trailer
The first trailer for Focker-In-Law has finally been released, bringing the beloved comedy franchise back to the big screen with a new generation of chaos. However, as a part of marketing, Ben Stiller jokingly disapproved of the movie’s poster.
Ben Stiller disapproves of Focker-In-Law poster with Robert De Niro and Ariana Grande
The official Focker-In-Law trailer previews the next entry in the legendary comedy franchise. It features Ariana Grande, Ben Stiller, Robert De Niro, and more. Set to release in theaters on November 25, 2026, the film centers on Skyler Gisondo as the son of Stiller and Teri Polo’s characters, who gets engaged to a woman, and she seems all wrong for him.
Around the time the trailer dropped, a new look at the Focker-In-Law poster was posted on X (formerly Twitter). It shows Grande smiling alongside Robert De Niro, who is making a slightly irritable face, while Stiller is seen nudging into the cover a bit from the side. Stiller responded jokingly to the still, writing, “This was not the photo I approved.” The remark seems to be in line with Focker-In-Law’s premise, as Stiller’s Greg Focker rarely has control over anything, including, apparently, marketing decisions.
The trailer itself kicks off with a classic callback as De Niro gives Grande a lie detector test. In one scene, Stiller asks, “Do you think I hold Henry emotionally hostage?” referring to his son, to which Grande responds positively. Responding to the Focker-In-Law trailer’s release on X, Ben Stiller further leaned into it, writing, “Here we go again. Again. Again. Again!”
Directed by John Hamburg, Focker-In-Law features returning stars De Niro as Jack Byrnes, Stiller as Greg Focker. Ariana Grande joins them as Olivia Jones. Blythe Danner, Teri Polo, Owen Wilson, and Skyler Gisondo are also part of the cast. Beanie Feldstein as Samantha Focker and Eduardo Franco round it out.
