Megan Fox’s Raunchy NSFW Movie Gets Netflix Streaming Date

A Megan Fox film is set to arrive on Netflix, bringing renewed attention to the horror movie years after its theatrical release. Known for its provocative tone, the film has steadily built a cult following despite its mixed response at the time.

Jennifer’s Body to stream on Netflix next month

Jennifer’s Body, the horror film led by Megan Fox, is set to arrive on Netflix on May 1, 2026. Originally released in the United States on September 18, 2009, the film drew mixed reviews at the time but has since developed a strong cult following. Its upcoming streaming release is expected to introduce it to a wider audience.

The film is directed by Karyn Kusama and written by Diablo Cody. The story is set in the fictional town of Devil’s Kettle, Minnesota. It follows Jennifer Check, a popular high school cheerleader, and her close friend Anita “Needy” Lesnicki, played by Amanda Seyfried. After attending a performance by a local band, a fire breaks out at a bar. Meanwhile, Jennifer is taken away by the group under suspicious circumstances.

Jennifer later returns home behaving erratically, and it is soon revealed that she was subjected to a failed occult ritual. She then becomes possessed, developing a craving for human flesh and targeting male classmates. It leads to a series of violent deaths in the town. As the situation escalates, Needy uncovers the truth and is forced to confront her friend.

Other cast members include Adam Brody as Nikolai Wolf, Johnny Simmons as Chip Dove, and J. K. Simmons as Mr. Wroblewski. On Rotten Tomatoes, the film holds a 47% critics’ score and a 36% audience rating.

Radio Times reported, “It’s vicious and spiky in all the best ways, and neatly ticks genre boxes with its excellent gore scenes. Thank goodness this has been re-evaluated since its release: it’s a firebrand of a film that is way more than the sum of its body parts.”
