Hershey was revealed by Angel Studios during their mainstage presentation at CinemaCon. The film chronicles the origins of the iconic chocolate brand, showing how the multinational confectionery was built from the ground up by Milton S. Hershey and his wife, Catherine.

“The story of how one couple’s vision started a chocolate empire – and through it, changed the world,” the official synopsis reads.

A teaser trailer for Hershey was also released. Offering a quick preview of the narrative, it highlights key plot points from Hershey’s efforts to establish his company and the challenges he encounters to a burgeoning romance between himself and Catherine that inevitably leads to their marriage.

Mark Waters, whose credits include popular movies like Freaky Friday and Mean Girls, helmed the movie. Meanwhile, Sharon Paul and Timothy Michael Hayes co-wrote the screenplay. Alexandra Daddario and Finn Wittrock essay Catherine and Milton Hershey, respectively. The supporting cast includes Alan Ruck, Richard Kind, David Costabile, and Heléne Yorke.

Waters shared at CinemaCon that what prompted him to adapt Milton’s story into a feature was the chocolatier’s work in surmounting the obstacles and struggles on his path to success. He added, “And then, unlike many wealthy men of his time (and ours), he chose to share that success with the working people and the community around him.”

The filmmaker further stated, “That spirit, embodied by the love story between Milton and Catherine Hershey, is the core of our movie, and led to the creation of the still-thriving Milton Hershey School.”

Meanwhile, The Hershey Company CEO, Kirk Tanner, stressed that the movie “at its heart” was “a story about purpose – not just of building an iconic company and extraordinary town, but of building lasting impact through Milton Hershey School.”

Hershey premieres on Thanksgiving, November 26, 2026.
