Spider-Man 4 Gets Brand New Footage, 2 Fresh Posters on CinemaCon Day

Sony Pictures brought Spider-Man: Brand New Day to CinemaCon 2026 with a wave of new material that should get fans excited. The studio dropped fresh posters, exclusive footage, and revealing story details that hint at a lonelier, more vulnerable Peter Parker than audiences have seen before.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day unveils fresh footage, posters and synopsis at CinemaCon

Sony Pictures pulled back the curtain on Spider-Man: Brand New Day at CinemaCon 2026, releasing two new teaser posters, exclusive footage, and an official synopsis for the July 31 release. The studio shared both posters on X (formerly Twitter), with each racking up thousands of views within hours of posting.

The official synopsis confirms the film takes place four years after Spider-Man: No Way Home. Peter Parker now lives “entirely alone” after erasing himself from the memories of his loved ones. He has devoted himself fully to protecting New York as a “full-time Spider-Man.”

However, intensifying demands spark a “surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence.” A new pattern of crimes also leads to the emergence of one of the most powerful and dangerous threats he has ever faced.

The CinemaCon footage showed Peter following Ned into a party and discovering Spider-Man research covering his wall. Ned reveals he created an app called Spidey-tracker, where people report sightings. He names two prime suspects for Spider-Man’s identity, including Flash Thompson (via ScreenRant).

MJ then arrives, and Peter introduces himself as Maynard. She calls him a friendly neighbor, causing Peter to choke on his drink. MJ discusses a job offer she declined, saying she feels she should be waiting for something great. Eman Esfandi’s character then enters and kisses MJ, prompting a visibly upset Peter to leave.

Tom Holland appeared via video message at the event, calling the film “big and fun and cool” and “the most emotional Spider-Man.” Sony CEO Tom Rothman praised what he called Holland’s “finest performance” yet. The cast includes Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Sadie Sink, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando, and Mark Ruffalo.
