First Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse Images & Footage Revealed

Sony Pictures and the creative team behind the Spider-Verse trilogy finally broke a four-year silence on the franchise’s highly anticipated conclusion. The studio offered audiences their earliest glimpse at Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, teasing where Miles Morales’ journey picks up after one of animation’s biggest cliffhangers.

Sony reveals first Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse images and footage

Sony Pictures unveiled the first footage and images from Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse during its CinemaCon 2026 presentation in Las Vegas. Phil Lord, Chris Miller, Bob Persichetti, and Justin K. Thompson attended the event to discuss the highly anticipated trilogy finale. Sony released several new images from the film, offering closer looks at new and returning characters.

The studio also previewed the film’s opening sequence for the audience in attendance. The footage picks up directly after the events of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. The Prowler watches Miles in the opening before someone knocks him out.

Miles wakes up and finds his uncle, attempting to convince him to let him go. Miles then encounters his alternate self, who operates as the Prowler in that universe. This alternate Miles works alongside Uncle Aaron, and the two laugh as Miles explains the concept of a canon event. Miles begins glitching and warns them he does not want to hurt them before using his powers to escape.

A montage follows showing Miles in combat, with a brief moment between Miles and Gwen. Spider-Ham returns holding Peter B. Parker’s baby, with Spider-Gwen standing nearby. The footage also features spider-people across different universes appearing in one shot. Miles’ mom calls him strong before the sequence cuts to the logo. The film will conclude Miles Morales’ animated arc, though several additional animated Spider-Man projects will continue the franchise.

Amy Pascal has previously teased that Miles’ live-action debut could follow the trilogy’s completion. Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse opens in theaters on June 18, 2027. Bob Persichetti and Justin K. Thompson direct, with Phil Lord, Chris Miller, Avi Arad, Amy Pascal, and Jinko Gotoh producing.
