What Jamie Lee Curtis horror movie is now available on Netflix?
As of today, Curtis’ 2022 horror film Halloween Ends is now officially available to stream on Netflix. It served as the final installment in Universal Pictures and Blumhouse’s reboot trilogy of the iconic franchise. For the last time, Laurie Strode faces Michael Myers in a final standoff, more than four decades after the masked killer first terrorized her in 1978’s Halloween. The ensemble cast also included Andi Matichak as Allyson Nelson, Kyle Richards as Lindsey Wallace, Will Patton as Deputy Frank Hawkins, Rohan Campbell as Corey, and James Jude Courtney as Michael Myers/The Shape, with the original Michael Myers actor Nick Castle providing voiceover work for the popular villain.
“This is Laurie Strode’s last stand. After 45 years, the most acclaimed, revered horror franchise in film history reaches its epic, terrifying conclusion as Laurie Strode faces off for the last time against the embodiment of evil, Michael Myers, in a final confrontation unlike any captured on-screen before. Only one of them will survive,” reads the official synopsis.
Blumhouse’s Halloween trilogy was directed by David Gordon Green, who also co-wrote the scripts with comedic actor Danny McBride. The horror franchise was rebooted in 2018 by the studio, serving as a direct sequel to John Carpenter’s 1978 film. It featured Curtis’ long-awaited return as Laurie Strode, 16 years after appearing in Rick Rosenthal’s Halloween: Resurrection. The 2018 Halloween film was an instant hit among critics and fans, making it the highest-grossing (over $259 million) and second-highest-rated installment (79% RT) of the entire franchise. Because of this, the studio immediately greenlit two sequels: Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends.
